Shell Recharge 180 kW DC charger now available at Shell LPT2 R&R Paka

Users of the East Coast Expressway who wish to travel to Kelantan and Terengganu, particularly electric vehicle (EV) owners, can now utilize the high-performance charging stations (HPC) offered by Shell Recharge at two new locations along the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2).

The specified HPC locations are at Shell R&R Paka (both Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Terengganu bound).

With fast charging capabilities of up to 180 kW, these stations aim to make journeys to the East Coast smoother and help alleviate range anxiety for the growing EV community.

Currently, Shell is also working on completing the charging station at Shell R&R Temerloh (in the direction of KL) along the East Coast Expressway 1.

Once this station is completed, it will further enhance the network of HPC stations, which will consist of 13 stations throughout Peninsular Malaysia, enabling compatible EVs to charge from 0 to 80 percent within 30 minutes.

In addition to charging infrastructure, Shell is committed to ensuring that EV owners and drivers have access to essential amenities such as rest areas, convenience stores, and food and beverage options at Shell Café for a more enjoyable journey.

In conjunction with the upcoming Aidilfitri festive season, Shell is offering exclusive credit rebates for EV owners using Shell Recharge along the East Coast Expressway.

From March 24 to April 4, EV drivers using the ParkEasy app at the HPC locations will receive rewards as follows:
• 100% credit rebate for Platinum members
• 50% credit rebate for Gold and Standard (pay-per-use) members

These rebates will be credited within seven days after the campaign ends, subject to terms and conditions.

Shell Malaysia, Visa enhance payment convenience at Shell Recharge across Klang Valley

Shell Malaysia and ParkEasy have announced a new collaboration with Visa to improve payment facilities at Shell Recharge stations around the Klang Valley.

The aim of this new collaboration is to provide a smoother payment platform, making it easier for all electric vehicle (EV) owners to make payments using credit or debit cards.

For information, ParkEasy is an innovative parking solution provider wholly owned by Shell, which operates Shell Recharge facilities in Malaysia.

Card terminals are now available at four Shell Recharge locations: Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, and Pavilion Damansara Heights, for both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) charging.

EV owners can park their vehicles at the selected charging spots and must enter the parking number at the terminal before making a payment. A pre-authorization charge of RM150 will be applied for each charging session.

In conjunction with this latest collaboration, EV owners can enjoy a 10% cashback when making payments with a Visa card from January 15 to June 30, 2025, limited to RM5 for each session.

Additionally, a 10% credit rebate is offered when owners top up 50 credits into their ParkEasy account using a Visa card, limited to 5 credits for each rebate.

Shell Malaysia, BonusLink introduce enhanced loyalty program

Shell Malaysia and BonusLink have unveiled their refreshed rewards and loyalty program, which enables members to unlock enhanced rewards based on their tier level.

Shell and BonusLink’s refreshed loyalty program now features a three-tier structure, namely Silver, Gold, and Platinum. This allows members to multiply their rewards by up to five times, making premium benefits more accessible than ever before.

Silver members earn 1.5X points, gold members receive 3X points, and platinum members can multiply their rewards by up to 5X points per litre when refueling at Shell as well as in-store purchases.

Additionally, the reward refresh period has been extended to two months, giving members more time to accumulate points and maximize their benefits.

To further enhance this experience, members are encouraged to switch to Shell App for payments, to unlock exclusive rewards that significantly surpass those offered by the physical card. It also streamlines the earning and redeeming process while offering unparalleled convenience.

“For years, loyalty programs have been part of the brand-customer relationship, but at Shell, we’re focused on making sure our customers get tangible value every time they visit. Together with BonusLink, we’ve refreshed our rewards program to benefit everyone, not just the big spenders. With each stop at Shell, your rewards multiply, made even more seamless through the Shell App.

Since we launched Shell App in 2023, we’ve received tremendous feedback on how we can enhance the payment experience. We’re excited to soon roll out an upgraded Shell App, making it the preferred way to pay for fuel at Shell. This update reinforces our commitment to providing greater value to customers, ensuring that every ringgit spent delivers more benefits and a smoother, more rewarding experience,” said Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Shell Malaysia.
