Who would have thought that this fierce-looking crossover sedan has now become part of the patrol car fleet of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM)?
However, do not celebrate too soon, as the two units of the Peugeot 408 handed over by Peugeot Malaysia are merely on loan to PDRM for real-world evaluation purposes.
According to the provided images, the borrowed units are of the Allure variant.
In the Malaysian market, the Peugeot 408 has a starting price of RM146,055 and is powered by a 1.6-liter Puretech turbo engine that produces 218 PS and 300 Nm of torque.
Currently, PDRM’s patrol car fleet consists of the segment C Honda Civic sedan in its FC and FE generations.
Peugeot Malaysia has announced the three lucky winners of the Buy and Win campaign held from July 9 to October 31 last year.
In this campaign, customers who booked and registered their purchase of a Peugeot 408 had the chance to win a Business Class holiday package to Paris for three days and two nights, as well as to participate in the prestigious Paris Fashion Week 2025.
The three winners are Nurfhatiah Zulkarnaini from Seremban who purchased a Peugeot 408 GT, Mohamad Faris bin Harun from Ipoh, who bought a Peugeot 408 Premium, and Muhammad Izzul Aiman bin Zahir from Penang who purchased a Peugeot 408 Allure.
All three winners will fly to Paris with their partners from March 8 to 10.
The winners expressed their excitement and described their victory as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
As part of the preparations for Paris Fashion Week 2025, all the winners and their partners will attend a personal styling session hosted by the founder of KL Fashion Week.
The Peugeot 408 features a body shape that deviates from the norm, combining the practicality of a sedan with SUV/crossover elements and a higher ground clearance.
This unique French mixture may not cater to the tastes of the general public.
In addition to its bold design, the Peugeot 408 also comes equipped with unconventional Monolithe 20-inch rims, which appear quite odd upon first glance.
Upon closer inspection, these 20-inch rims have a single plastic structure that covers the five wheel nut holes.
You can watch the tutorial on how to remove this plastic nut cover in the video link below:
Peugeot Malaysia, in collaboration with KL Fashion Week 2024 (KLFW 2024), has launched two promotional campaigns for fans and customers to enjoy the exhilarating experience of driving the latest Peugeot 408 model.
From July 9 to July 27, 2024, Peugeot customers who have the opportunity to test drive the Peugeot 408 at any authorized dealer stand a chance to win a pair of tickets to the KL Fashion Week events, namely the Kit Woo Show on July 31, or the Design to Sustain Finale on August 2.
Customers only need to fill out the provided online form after the test drive session and are encouraged to follow Peugeot Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram pages to find out the results of this campaign.
Three lucky customers also have the chance to win a 3-day 2-night Business Class vacation package to Paris for two when they book and purchase the Peugeot 408 between July 29 and October 31, 2024.
Furthermore, these fortunate winners will be taken to the prestigious Paris Fashion Week 2025 fashion show, as well as have the opportunity to visit the iconic L’Aventure Peugeot Museum to learn about the history and heritage of the Peugeot brand.
Jamie Francis Morais, Managing Director of Stellantis Malaysia said. “Design is an integral part of PEUGEOT’s DNA, and this partnership with KLFW represents a perfect alignment with our vision and the inventive spirit of the PEUGEOT brand. The newly launched PEUGEOT 408, having won the Red Dot Design Award in 2023 plays its role perfectly as the muse for this year’s show.”
“We are excited to offer our customers such an exclusive experience because, with PEUGEOT, you are not just getting a car, you are immersing yourself in the experience of ‘allure’, the language of attraction, and the endless possibilities of exhilaration and emotions.”
