Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV arrives in Malaysia, priced from RM1,088,888

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today officially launched the ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV, with a starting price of RM1,088,888, excluding customization costs.

Powering the Maybach EQS 680 SUV are dual electric motors, delivering 658 hp and 950 Nm of torque.

The vehicle features several driving modes, including Eco, Sport, Offroad, and Individual.

A special MAYBACH mode replaces the traditional Comfort mode, prioritizing maximum comfort for rear passengers.

A 118 kWh battery pack provides a driving range of 500-608 km on a full charge and supports 22 kW AC charging and DC fast charging up to 200 kW.

Standard equipment on this luxury SUV includes AIRMATIC adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering, 21-inch Maybach alloy wheels, DIGITAL LIGHT headlights, and illuminated running boards.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV boasts a first-class rear cabin experience, complete with MANUFAKTUR leather upholstery, a Nappa leather headliner, electric sunshades, a dedicated infotainment system, and adjustable seats with heating, massage, and memory functions.

The driver is provided with a steering wheel featuring galvanized paddle shifters, wood trim, and heating, the MBUX Hyperscreen multimedia system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and an augmented reality head-up display.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia offers luxury private terminal transfer service using EQS, S-Class sedans

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced a strategic partnership with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the owner of Malaysia Airlines, to offer a luxury private terminal transfer service at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Starting from January 16, this service will be available to eligible ticket holders using two luxury sedans, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 500 4MATIC and the S 580 e Plug-in Hybrid.

This 24-hour daily service will further facilitate customer transfers from Terminal 1 KLIA to the surrounding satellite building.

In addition, this collaboration also offers special rewards through #MyMercedesRewards for selected electric and PHEV models to Enrich Platinum and Gold members, along with the chance to participate in a trip to Germany to enjoy a unique Mercedes-Benz experience.

Enrich Platinum and Gold members will also enjoy access to exclusive events hosted by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, while Mercedes-Benz customers will have opportunities to participate in exclusive Malaysia Airlines Enrich events.

Beginning March 1, 2025, customers who purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle will enjoy complimentary private terminal transfer service for one year when flying with Malaysia Airlines.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced a strategic partnership with prestigious hotels, golf course operators, and resorts to further expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network nationwide.

The following is a list of hotels and golf courses involved in the initial phase:

  • Rasa Sayang Hotel by Shangri-La (Penang)
  • Marriott Hotel (Penang)
  • The RuMa Hotel & Residence (Kuala Lumpur)
  • Saujana Golf & Country Club (Kuala Lumpur)

Mercedes-AMG GLE63S 4Matic+ enters Malaysian market – from RM1,191,888

Alongside the G63 and SL63, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has expanded its GLE lineup with the launch of two AMG variants: the GLE63S and the GLE63S Coupe.

Pricing (OTR without insurance) starts from RM1,191,888 for the former and RM1,229,888 for the latter.

As expected, both models share the same engine — AMG’s tried and tested 4.0-litre biturbo V8 that produces a whopping 612 PS from 5,750 to 6,500 rpm and 850 Nm of torque from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm.

The powertrain is complemented by a mild hybrid system featuring an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a 48-volt electrical system, delivering an additional 22 PS (16 kW) and 250 Nm of torque.

Paired with the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission, which transfers the power to the ground via the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system, the vehicles can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed capped at 250 km/h.

For those seeking even greater speed, the optional AMG Driver’s Package allows the SUV to reach a thrilling maximum speed of 280 km/h.

To keep all that power in check, both the GLE63S and GLE63S Coupe are equipped with AMG Ride Control+ air suspension with adaptive adjustable damping, a limited-slip differential on the rear axle, and a retuned Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

Design-wise, the GLE and GLE Coupe feature redesigned Multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, alongside 22-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels and red AMG brake calipers.

At the rear, they showcase new LED lights, an AMG Performance exhaust system, and a lip spoiler for the Coupe version. The vehicles also include the AMG Night Package, which includes glossy black and dark chrome elements.

2024 Mercedes-AMG G63 facelift launched in Malaysia – RM1,948,888

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has launched six new models in the local market, with the standout being the Godfather of SUVs, the Mercedes-AMG G63.

Design-wise, you might assume that there are no significant changes but take a closer look and you’ll see that the G63 now features a new front bumper with vertical slats on the air intakes.

Its imposing exterior is further enhanced by the AMG Night package, which adds black or dark chrome elements, 22-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels, and red-painted AMG brake calipers.

Inside, the layout remains virtually the same, complemented by features such as the Superior Line package, a sliding sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery, active multi-contour seats with massage function and climate control, and carbon fibre trim on the doors and dashboard.

In terms of equipment, there are two screens, each measuring 12.3 inches, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, a Burmester 3D audio system, a pair of rear screens, an AMG Performance steering wheel, and ambient lighting, to name a few.

Powering the G63 is a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine paired with an Integrated Starter-Generator (ISG) and 48-volt technology, effectively making it a mild hybrid. The combination produces 585 PS at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque from 2,500 to 3,500 rpm.

With the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission driving all four wheels, the G63 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, achieving a top speed of 220 km/h.

Good news for those seeking more speed: a Performance Package is available, which bumps up the top speed to 240 km/h.

For the suspension system, the G63 employs the AMG Active Ride Control+ air suspension system with active hydraulic roll stabilisation and adjustable adaptive damping.

Mercedes-Benz GLC350e launched in Malaysia, replaces GLC300

In addition to the E-Class W214 lineup, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has also launched the new GLC350e 4Matic which is locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang.

Replacing the previously offered GLC300, the new variant is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 204 PS at 6,100 rpm and 320 Nm of torque from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm.

Supporting the engine is an electric motor that generates 135 PS (100 kW) and 440 Nm, resulting in a combined system output of 313 PS and a peak torque of 550 Nm.

With a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, the GLC350e accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 218 km/h.

The electric motor is powered by a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh, offering an electric driving range of up to 131 km according to the WLTP cycle. The battery supports 11 kW AC charging.

In terms of features, the GLC350e offers a similar level of equipment as the GLC300, meaning that it comes with an AMG Line body kit, 20-inch AMG wheels, Digital Light headlights, and a panoramic sunroof, to name a few.

Inside, you will find black Artico man-made leather upholstery, Microcut microfibre, an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch instrument panel, and a Burmester 3D audio system.

However, the boot space of the GLC350e is slightly smaller at 490 litres compared to the GLC300’s 620 litres, due to the battery pack positioned under the boot floor.

A new addition to the GLC350e is the Driving Assistance Package Plus, which includes features such as Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Stop-and-Go Assist, Active Steering Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Active Blind Spot Assist.

Also included is the Parking Package with a 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC.

The GLC350e is priced starting at RM398,888 (OTR, excluding insurance).

Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W214) now in Malaysia – two CKD variants, priced from RM356k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has officially launched the 10th generation E-Class sedan (W214) for the local market.

The luxury executive sedan is offered in two locally assembled variants: the E200 Avantgarde Line and the E350e AMG Line. Pricing starts from RM355,888 for the former and RM418,888 for the latter.

The E200 features a mild hybrid power that combines a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 204 hp and 320 Nm with an Integrated Starter-Generator (ISG) providing an additional 17 kW and 205 Nm.

As a result, it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and achieving a top speed of 240 km/h.

In contrast, the E350e is driven by a plug-in hybrid setup that produces a healthy total system output of 313 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

According to Mercedes-Benz, this variant can travel up to 118 km and reach a top speed of 140 km/h using electric power supplied by a high-voltage battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh.

Notably, in addition to the 11 kW AC charger, the E350e also supports fast charging up to 55 kW, which enables the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.

In addition to powertrains, the E200 and E350e also differ quite significantly in appearance and features. As a range topper, the E350e adds a bit of aggressiveness to its look via an AMG Line body kit and 20-inch AMG alloy wheels.

The variant also comes with Digital Light headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and a panoramic sunroof.

Inside, the E350e is equipped with the MBUX Superscreen, which is made up of a 12.3-inch driver display, a 14.4-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger display.

The MBUX infotainment system now includes an App Store, allowing users to download various apps such as TikTok, Angry Birds, Zoom, and Webex, to name a few.

For video conferencing apps like Zoom and Webex, users can make calls or record videos using the selfie camera located on the dashboard.

Additionally, music streaming apps like Spotify and Apple Music are now integrated into the MBUX system.

Both variants feature ambient lighting (Active Ambient Lighting in the E350e) that spruces up the front section of the instrument panel as well as the doors.

Furthermore, the E-Class now offers a digital vehicle key function, enabling users to unlock or start the engine using their iPhone or Apple Watch.

Completing the package, the E350e comes standard with a Burmester 4D sound system featuring 21 speakers, including two sound resonating transducers in the backrest of each front seat for acoustic massage.

2024 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 4MATIC SUV, 360 hp, 800 Nm, 675 km range, RM626k

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has recently launched another electric-powered SUV model, the EQS 450 4MATIC SUV 2024, as a complement to its existing lineup of EQS SUV models.

In terms of specifications, the EQS 450 SUV comes with a powerful 360 hp electric motor and a maximum torque of 800 Nm.

The acceleration from 0-100 km/h is as quick as 6.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 210 km/h.

The 118 kWh battery pack allows for a range of up to 673 km on a full charge based on WLTP cycle data.

The EQS 450 SUV supports AC charging of up to 22 kW (0-100% SoC in 6 hours 15 minutes), as well as fast DC charging of up to 200 kW (10-80% in 31 minutes).

The exterior appearance is enhanced with the AMG Line package, 22-inch AMG rims, a grille adorned with the Mercedes star logo, a DIGITAL LIGHT system with high-resolution adaptive headlamps, and aluminum-style side step plates.

The EQS SUV chassis is aided by a front four-link axle system, followed by a multi-link suspension at the rear, as well as an AIRMATIC air suspension capable of raising the ground clearance.

There are several driving modes including ECO, COMFORT, SPORT, INDIVIDUAL, and OFFROAD.

For ease of handling, the EQS 450 SUV is equipped with a rear-axle steering system that allows the rear wheels to be turned by up to 10 degrees.

The EQS SUV cabin space is equipped with multi-contour seats, a third-row seating option, the MBUX hyper screen system, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment system, and the Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos technology.

Mercedes-Benz launches 3 AMG models: C 63 S E Performance, GLB 35 4MATIC, GLA 45 S 4MATIC+

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia presented three high-performance AMG models for the local market, namely the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition, Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S 4MATIC+, and Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC.

These new models can be seen up close at the Mercedes-Benz World event held at KL Base, Sungai Besi from 5th to 7th July.

 

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition

 

Challenging the BMW M3, this model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine paired with a 201 hp electric motor, resulting in a total output of 680 hp and 1,020 Nm of torque.

With an output of 238 hp per liter, the C 63 S E Performance sedan is a game-changer in AMG’s 55-year history.

The F1 edition features unique characteristics such as alpine grey MANUFAKTUR color scheme, large AMG logo, red trim lines, along with exclusive emblem, F1 Edition floor mats, and F1 logo.

Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S 4MATIC+

 

The fast GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ crossover is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine producing 421 hp and 500 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds.

Launched globally this year, the GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ brings minimal cosmetic changes such as a new front apron, AMG logo on the hood, new MULTIBEAM LED lighting unit, and minor adjustments to the LED taillights.

The cabin features twin 10.25-inch screens with specific AMG display, Nappa/microfiber MICROCUT-wrapped AMG Performance steering wheel, and a more powerful MBUX entertainment system.

The selling price starts from RM539,888.

 

Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC

 

For those seeking a more practical AMG vehicle, the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC crossover wagon is available.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine delivers 306 hp, now paired with a 48-volt starter generator system providing an additional 13 hp.

With the all-wheel-drive system and 8-speed AMG Speedshift DCT transmission, the GLB 35 4MATIC can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

Changes include a new front apron design, MULTIBEAM LED lighting with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, and redesigned taillight graphics.

The interior brings a new Nappa leather-wrapped AMG Performance steering wheel, AMG function buttons, the latest generation MBUX entertainment system, and a specific AMG display. The selling price for the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC starts from RM418,888.

 

The Mercedes-Benz World exhibition is open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm, showcasing all 30 models from various vehicle segments, including the Mercedes-Benz C 350 e, Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC, Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+, and Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ SUV. Also on display is the world’s first car, the Benz Patent Motor Car, which appeared in 1886 and was powered by a one-liter engine producing about 0.6 hp.

Mercedes-Benz C350e official price confirmed – RM338,888

MERCEDES-Benz Malaysia has announced the official pricing for the Mercedes-Benz C350e, which was first previewed in February.

Locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang, the C350e is priced at RM338,888 on-the-road excluding insurance. This is lower compared to the estimated price reported earlier, which was RM355,000.

The new variant comes as a replacement of the C300 AMG Line that was launched alongside the C200 Avantgarde back in 2022.

Powering the C350e is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 204 hp at 6,100 rpm and 320 Nm from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm.

It is paired with an electric motor generating 95 kW and 440 Nm, providing the sedan with a total output of 313 hp and 550 Nm.

With a 9G-Tronic transmission driving the rear wheels, the C350e can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 245 km/h.

An in-house developed battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh offers an electric range of up to 117 km. The maximum speed in this mode is 140 km/h. The battery takes two hours to fully charge using an 11 kW AC charger.

Kit-wise, the C350e comes with the AMG Line styling package, 18-inch AMG light alloy wheels, and the Night Package, which includes glossy black elements such as the louvre of the radiator shell, trim moulding in the AMG front apron, beltline trim strip and window surround, and exterior mirror housings.

This variant also comes standard with Digital Light with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting.

The interior is adorned with AMG Line trim, featuring metal structure trim elements, a Nappa leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, AMG floor mats, and sport seats with Artico leather upholstery in black.

The MBUX infotainment system consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, an 11.9-inch touchscreen, which is slightly tilted towards the driver by six degrees, as well as a wireless charger.

On the safety front, the car comes with a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, Guard 360°, and Pedestrian Protection.

Mercedes GLE450 4Matic refreshed for Malaysian market – RM529k, CKD

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has announced the arrival of the GLE 2024 in the local market. This medium-sized premium SUV is offered in the single variant of GLE450 4Matic, priced at RM528,888.

Assembled at the MBM plant in Pekan, Pahang, the 2024 Mercedes GLE450 has been enhanced both externally and internally compared to the previous model. Updates include redesigned front and rear lights, bumper design, and grille.

It also comes with the AMG Line package, featuring 21-inch AMG rims, larger brakes, and sporty cladding on the wheel arches. The GLE450 2024 is now available in four color options: Obsidian Black, Selenite Grey, High-tech Silver, and a new “highlight” color, Manufaktur Diamond White Bright.

The engine remains the same with a 3.0-liter turbo 6-cylinder in-line and a mild-hybrid system, but the output is now higher at 381hp and 500Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox and the 4Matic system.

The 48-volt Integrated Starter Generator system will provide an additional 20hp and 200Nm boost, allowing this large SUV to reach 100km/h in just 5.6 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 250km/h.

The Airmatic air suspension system still comes as standard, along with adaptable damping controlled by the Dynamic Select button.

On the interior, the Mercedes GLE450 4Matic is equipped with the latest touch-sensitive steering wheel, the MBUX system with a 12.3-inch screen, and connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other features include Artico leather and microfiber upholstery, Anthracite wood trim, air vents with chrome finishes, and a Burmester 590-watt audio system with 13 speakers and Dolby Atmos.

Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance arrives in Malaysia with 802 PS, 1,430 Nm!

IN addition to the Maybach GLS 600, the high-performance Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance has also been launched as part of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s Dream Cars Collection for 2024.

The S63 is powered by a 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine combined with a hybrid system to produce a total output of 802 PS and 1,430 Nm, making it the most powerful S-Class ever built.

Thanks to the AMG Speedshift nine-speed transmission and AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system, the luxury sedan only needs 3.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. It can also hit a top speed of 250 km/h.

The S63 comes equipped with the AMG high-performance battery (HPB) with a capacity of 13.1 kWh, offering an electric driving range of up to 31 km. The HPB battery supports AC charging with a capacity of 3.7 kWh.

Standard exterior features include Digital Light headlights with Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, the AMG Night package comprising high-gloss black and black chrome trim elements, and 21-inch AMG cross-spoke forged wheels.

Inside, there is an Nappa leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel, Anthracite open-pore poplar wood trim, AMG door sill panels with replaceable covers and red illuminated AMG logo, AMG floor mats, a panoramic roof, and ambient lighting system.

The infotainment system includes a 12.8-inch OLED display, a 12.3-inch instrument panel, an augmented reality (AR) head-up display, Burmester 3D surround sound system, and MBUX rear seat entertainment system.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 launched from RM1.9 million

MERCEDES-BENZ Malaysia has introduced its Dream Cars Collection for 2024, which is made up of four exciting models.

The first is the ultra-luxurious full-sized SUV, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic, available at a starting price of RM1,918,888.

This model can be distinguished from the standard version by the vertical chrome bars and “Maybach” lettering on the radiator grille, Maybach pattern on the air inlet grille, and 23-inch multi-spoke forged wheels.

The GLS 600 is available with an extensive range of paint options including the distinctive Maybach two-tone paint.

Standard features include Multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus and a panoramic sunroof. Also onboard are power closing doors which pulls the doors gently and almost silently into the lock.

Powering the Maybach GLS 600 a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine producing 557 PS at 6,000 rpm and 770 Nm of torque from 2,500 to 4,500 rpm. It is assisted by a mild hybrid system generating an additional 22 PS and 250 Nm.

According to Mercedes-Benz, this behemoth of an SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with a top speed reaching 250 km/h.

For the chassis, this one utilizes a combination of the Airmatic air suspension system and E-Active Body Control for comfortable driving. It also features Magic Vision Control, which provides a clear view thanks to heated wiper blades and wiper hoses.

The driver assistance and safety systems include features such as Guard 360°, the Driving Assistance Package, Mirror Package, Active Distance Assist Distronic, the Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, and Pre-Safe Impulse Side.

Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 4Matic SUV now in Malaysia – RM458,888

FOLLOWING the EQS SUV, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has now further expanded its electric vehicle range with the launch of EQS’ smaller sibiling, the all-new EQE SUV.

It is offered in a single variant, the EQE 500 4Matic SUV, with a starting price of RM458,888 (on-the-road without insurance, with 10% sales tax).

Exterior-wise, standard equipment includes the AMG Line package, 21-inch aerodynamically-optimised light alloy wheels, Digital Light headlamps with Adaptive High Beam Assist Plus, aluminum-look running boards, and the signature three-pointed Mercedes star pattern on the grille.

Being the smaller sibling, the EQE SUV has a smaller footprint, measuring 4,863 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width, 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.

Inside, the futuristic Hyperscreen found in the EQS and EQS SUV makes way for a more conventional OLED central display and digital driver display setup, along with a head-up display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charging, and a Burmester 3D surround sound system.

Other features include the AMG Line package, ambient lighting, sports seats, AMG floor mats, Nappa leather wrapping on the steering wheel, black/gray leather upholstery, magnolia wood trim, aluminum inlays, Keyless-Go Comfort package, Thermotronic climate control, among others.

Powering the EQE 500 is  a pair of electric motors generating a total output of 408 PS and 858 Nm of torque. This enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

With a 90.6 kWh battery, it offers a driving range of 552 km on a full charge (based on WLTP cycle). The battery supports 22 kW AC charging, which takes four hours and 45 minutes for a 0-100% charge.

Alternatively, it can also take DC fast charging with capacities up to 170 kW, enabling a 10-80% charge in 32 just minutes.

The EQE 500 SUV comes equipped with Airmatic air suspension with adaptive ADS+ dampers that can be varied fully automatically at each individual wheel in both the compression and rebound stages.

To increase ground clearance, the vehicle level can be raised by up to 30 mm, which is possible up to a speed
of 80 km/h. It also features rear-axle steering to reduce the turning radius from 12.3 meters to 10.5 meters.

Safety and system package comprises the Driving Assistance Package Plus, Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, Pre-Safe, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, a 360-degree camera, and transparent bonnet.
