Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced a strategic partnership with prestigious hotels, golf course operators, and resorts to further expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging network nationwide.
The following is a list of hotels and golf courses involved in the initial phase:
- Rasa Sayang Hotel by Shangri-La (Penang)
- Marriott Hotel (Penang)
- The RuMa Hotel & Residence (Kuala Lumpur)
- Saujana Golf & Country Club (Kuala Lumpur)
- Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas (Johor)
Mercedes-Benz customers can now enjoy a variety of additional benefits at these locations by simply presenting their Mercedes-Benz card or app upon check-in.
According to Amanda Zhang, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, “Mercedes-Benz is always at the forefront of driving the future of mobility and luxury through synergistic and meaningful collaborations.”
“By integrating electric mobility into the luxury lifestyle experience, we are redefining what it means to be a Mercedes-Benz customer,” she added.
She further explained that this long-term strategy aims not only to make electric vehicle ownership more accessible but also to enhance every touchpoint in the customer journey through customized solutions and meaningful partnerships that reflect the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Mercedes-Benz is employing a multi-channel approach to strengthen its EV charging infrastructure, which includes:
- Charge@Home: Installation of wall chargers at homes
- Charge@Retail: Providing EV charging outlets at Mercedes-Benz showrooms/service centers
- Charge@Public: Charging facilities at hotels, resorts, and golf courses
Current Charge Point Operators (CPOs) partnered with Mercedes-Benz include EV Connection, ChargEV, and Gentari.
