Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) made history recently by producing its 6 millionth motorcycle in the country.
To celebrate the milestone, HLYM has launched the limited edition Yamaha Y16ZR 6th Million Roll Out (6MRO) to the local market.
Compared to the standard version, the Y16ZR 6MRO sets itself apart with its asymmetrical two-tone livery and special “chameleon” effect graphics that change colour based on the viewing angle.
Additionally, the limited-run motorcycle can be distinguished by its glow in the dark logo on the side and a “6MRO” emblem with a serial number on the front cowl.
There are no mechanical changes; the Y16ZR 6MRO retains the 155 cc SOHC VVA single-cylinder engine capable of producing 17.7 hp and 14.4 Nm of torque.
According to HLYM, production of the model will be limited to just 3,000 units. The retail price starts at RM13,668 (on-the-road price excluding insurance).
Each purchase comes with an exclusive package that includes a display box, a Casio G-Shock wristwatch, a metal ownership certificate plate, and a die-cast model.
To sweeten the deal, buyers will also receive a Tekhne helmet in a colour that matches the motorcycle.
