Shell Malaysia has launched the new and improved Shell FuelSave Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia. This follows its debut in East Malaysia back in May last year.
According to Shell Malaysia, this latest formulation is Shell’s most fuel-efficient diesel to date, capable of delivering up to 19 kilometres more per tank.
The company attributes the introduction of the latest diesel to over half a decade of extensive research and testing conducted by 150 scientists.
Apart from offering more range per tank, the new formulation also removes up to 65% of harmful engine deposits and protects against future build-up.
Additionally, the improved diesel also has double-action deposit targeting additive that removes harmful deposits and protects engine condition.
Seow Lee Ming, General Manager of Mobility Malaysia, said, “Shell is dedicated to supporting Malaysians by continuously improving our offerings to deliver greater value. As Malaysians navigate changes like the rationalisation of the fuel subsidy, the New + Improved Shell FuelSave diesel provides a practical solution, offering extended mileage to help drivers go further with every tank.”
“Whether powering through the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur in a diesel passenger car, hauling heavy loads up the rugged slopes of Cameron Highlands in a four-wheel-drive pickup, or navigating rural roads and muddy trails on the way to Terengganu, this New + Improved Shell FuelSave Diesel is designed to go further in various road conditions,” she added.
Chery Corporate Malaysia Sdn Bhd has announced that it will begin exporting vehicles to the Southeast Asian market this year, thereby becoming the first Chinese brand to export out of Malaysia.
According to the company, the move is in line with Chery’s vision to make Malaysia its production hub for the region.
The first phase of the export involves Jaecoo internal combustion engine (ICE) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) SUVs to Vietnam, which will be followed by more models to other SEA markets such as Thailand, Brunei, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Leo Chen, Vice President of Chery Corporate Malaysia, said the company is progressing well towards establishing Malaysia as its production and research and development (R&D) hub in Southeast Asia.
“Expanding our exporting capabilities enhances our production capacity to meet the region’s growing demand. Furthermore, Chery is excited to play a role in boosting Malaysia’s economy, develop local talent and strengthen our supply chain,” he said.
The production for SEA export markets is supported by Chery Corporate Malaysia’s production facility in Shah Alam, Selangor. In preparation to scale-up production for future growth, Chery has also established strategic partnerships with its other local assembly plants in Malaysia.
For the year 2024, the Chery Group achieved record-breaking annual sales of over 2.6 million vehicles, a 38.4% year-on-year increase, with exports reaching 1.1 million units, up 21.4% from 2023.

Launched in December last year, Malaysia’s first national EV Proton eMAS 7 has hit the mark with the market with 421 units delivered to customers for its first month.
According to Proton, this places the eMAS 7 as the best-selling EV in Malaysia with a 25% share of the overall EV market for January.
“It took just one month for the Proton e.MAS 7 to lead national EV sales, proving Malaysians will make the switch to EVs when the product and price proposition are correct,” said Zhang Qiang, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Proton Edar.
Current bookings for the eMAS 7 now exceed 4,000 units, and as a result, Proton is offering the launch package benefits to an additional 3,000 units.
The automaker said over 80% of bookings are for the Premium model and the numbers are set to go up over coming months as more units arrive and more dealerships are opened.
Meanwhile, Proton also announced its sales performance for January 2025, totalling 9,914 units for both domestic and export markets, including eMAS and smart cars.
This compares to 12,882 units (ICE cars only) reported for January 2024. Based on the estimated TIV figure, the company’s market share is therefore forecast at 19.7%, an increase from the overall figure of 18.7% last year.
BMW Group Malaysia has announced the official prices for two new locally assembled models, the BMW 530i M Sport and the MINI Countryman S ALL4.

The on-the-road price (excluding insurance) for the 530i M Sport CKD starts at RM399,800 or RM430,100 with the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive package.
MINI Countryman S ALL4
Meanwhile, the MINI Countryman S ALL4 comes equipped with LED headlights with a high-beam assistant and three adjustable light signatures, 20-inch Windmill Spoke wheels in two-tone, and LED taillights – also featuring three unique light signatures.
Like the Countryman SE ALL4 launched last year, the interior of this model also comes furnished with the Favoured Trim, which includes surfaces made with two-tone recycled polyester fabric through an in-house knitting process.
Powering the Countryman S ALL4 is a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine that produces 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. With an eight-speed automatic transmission and ALL4 all-wheel-drive system, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 228 km/h.
The Countryman S ALL4 is priced at RM258,888. If buyers opt for the extended warranty and service package, the price rises to RM269,288.
Yes, you read the headline right. English Premier League giants Manchester United have approached Malaysian automotive brand Perodua for discussions on a potential sponsorship.
This was revealed by Perodua chairman Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, who said that they are currently evaluating an offer from the 20-time EPL champions.
“I recently received a letter from Manchester United asking whether they could display the Perodua logo on their jerseys and whether we would be interested in sponsoring them.
“I usually don’t share such matters publicly, but I’m actually an Arsenal supporter. If I were to do that, it would feel rather unfair to Arsenal,” he quipped.
When asked about Perodua’s interest in sports sponsorship, particularly in local football, Asmat mentioned that interest from Manchester United demonstrates that the company is becoming increasingly recognised on an international level.
“We will consider it, especially for football in Malaysia,” he said.
Jaecoo Malaysia has announced that the first locally assembled (CKD) J7 PHEV unit has started rolling off the production line at its Shah Alam facility.
According to Jaecoo Malaysia, the SUV will be officially launched by the end of this month.
“We believe the J7 PHEV fits in perfectly with the market’s appetite for an alternative between the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) segments providing the best of both worlds with its superior Super Hybrid System fondly known as SHS,” said Emily Lek, Vice President of Jaecoo Malaysia.
“As Malaysia’s EV ecosystem continues to develop, JAECOO is happy to offer greater peace of mind to consumers considering the transition to hybrid energy mobility,” she added.
The J7 PHEV is powered by a combination of a 1.5-litre TGDI engine, a one-speed hybrid DHT transmission, and an 18.3 kWh LFP Blade battery, delivering a total power output of 347 PS (255 kW) and 525 Nm of torque.
The battery supports 6.6 kW AC charging, enabling it to charge from 30% to 80% in three hours, and 40 kW DC charging, which only requires 20 minutes for the same charge level.
Alternatively, owners can use a standard three-pin 230 V household socket, which takes approximately 8.5 hours for a full charge.
Most recently, the J7 PHEV was tested in a long-distance drive from Singapore to Hatyai, Thailand and clocked over 1,200 km WLTP range.
It is no secret that Denza, BYD’s premium sub-brand, will make its way to the Malaysian market through Sime Darby Auto Imports as the official importer and BYD Malaysia as the official distributor.
The brand’s very first offering for the local crowd will be the Denza D9 luxury electric MPV, which has been officially showcased to the media ahead of its launch on February 20.
As expected, the price has yet to be announced; however, we can confirm that the D9 will be available in two variants: the Advanced FWD and the Premium AWD.
Both variants come standard with a seven-seat configuration and there will be three exterior colours to choose from, namely Arctic White, Whale Sea Blue, and Cosmos Black.
The Advanced FWD is powered by a single electric motor that generates 308 hp and 360 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Premium AWD features a two-motor setup, providing a total power output of 369 hp and 470 Nm. Thanks to the increased power, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time is reduced to just 6.9 seconds.
Both variants are equipped with a standard 103 kWh Blade LFP battery, which offers a NEDC range of 600 km for the Advanced FWD and 580 km for the Premium AWD.
The D9 supports DC fast charging of up to 166 kW, allowing the battery’s juice to be replenished from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, or regain a range of up to 150 km with 10 minutes of charging. The battery also supports 11 kW AC charging.
Inside, the fully-electric MPV can accommodate up to seven passengers (with a height of up to 180 cm) in a 2-2-3 seating configuration, featuring captain’s chairs in the second row.
The captain’s chairs come with plenty of niceties, including 10-way electric adjustments, memory functions, and a massage feature, which can be accessed and controlled via a small digital screen on the armrest of each chair.
Other features include Nappa leather upholstery, suede headlining (available only in the Premium AWD variant), a panoramic glass roof, and a little refrigerator that also has a heating function.
As for the infotainment, the D9 is equipped as standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a Dynaudio sound system with 14 speakers, and three 50W wireless chargers. In total, there are six USB charging ports.
Behind the third-row seats, there is cargo space which Denza claims is able to accommodate seven 20-inch suitcases along with seven backpacks.
Finally, the D9 is equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), featuring capabilities such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, and much more.

A total of 104,234 summonses for various offences were issued during Op Selamat 23/2025, which took place over five days in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.
According to the Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Datuk Sri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, the figure reflects a decrease of 43% (or 78,798 summonses) compared to the 183,033 summonses recorded during Op Selamat 21/2024.
He stated that there are six main offences for Op Selamat 23/2025: speeding, driving in emergency lanes, overtaking on double lines, queue jumping, running red lights, and using mobile devices while driving.
Of these, speeding led the six main offences for Op Selamat 23/2025 up to yesterday, with the highest number of summonses issued at 44,940.
“This was followed by 2,034 summonses for running red lights, 869 for using mobile devices, 602 for driving in emergency lanes, 573 for queue jumping, and 321 for overtaking on double lines,” he said.

“For this Op Selamat, JSPT has assigned 3,609 officers and personnel to ensure the smooth execution of the operation and to achieve its objectives,” he added.
The 2025 model year BYD Atto 3 has been spotted undergoing road tests in China, where it is sold as the Yuan Plus.
According to CarNewsChina, the new Atto 3 will feature an updated exterior and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). It is expected to be launched in the country around the second quarter of this year.
This is not the first time the world has seen the 2025 Atto 3 – the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China had previously revealed the full design of the electric SUV, which is why only a small portion of the car remains covered in camouflage.
As can be seen, the Atto 3 now boasts a fresher front fascia thanks to a sportier bumper design and larger trapezoidal air intakes.
The side profile showcases new chrome trim on the C-pillars and the lower body. At the rear, the bumper has been given a redesign to keep it fresh but what stands out more is the new roof spoiler that incorporates a pair of vertical brake lights.
For 2025, the Atto 3 will be available in a new shade of beige while existing colour options—including white, black, purple, blue, green, and grey—are expected to be retained.
Additionally, the new Atto 3 appears to have a new camera on the front bumper, indicating that its ADAS has been enhanced.
There are no changes to the powertrain. In Malaysia, the Atto 3 is available in a single Extended Range variant equipped with a front axle electric motor producing 204 PS/310 Nm, and a Blade LFP battery with a capacity of 60.48 kWh, offering a range of up to 480 km (NEDC).
An exceptional accounting student was killed in an accident involving six vehicles on the Hulu Langat – Ampang road on Sunday.
According to the District Police Chief of Kajang, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, the accident, which involved four motorcycles and two cars, occurred at 4:45 PM.
At the time of the incident, four motorcycles were carrying six individuals, including two passengers, while a car was travelling from Hulu Langat towards Ampang.
“A Perodua Alza coming from the direction of Ampang veered into the opposite lane and collided with all five vehicles, causing one of the motorcyclists to be thrown off and fall by the roadside.
“As a result of the accident, a 20-year-old man riding a motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Five other motorcyclists and passengers were injured and taken to Ampang Hospital for treatment,” he stated.
He added that the drivers of both cars were uninjured. All individuals involved in the accident were aged between 17 and 38.
“At present, we are conducting further investigations into how the Perodua Alza ended up in the opposite lane.
“The vehicles involved will be sent for inspection at the PUSPAKOM and the Department of Chemistry for further investigation,” he said.
Naazron noted that the driver of the Perodua Alza, a 27-year-old man, has been detained and will be remanded today, with the case being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
“Members of the public who have information regarding the incident can contact the investigating officer, Inspector Narolhisyam Endi, at 019-5897115,” he added.

The Terengganu Police has thwarted a smuggling operation involving Yamaha RX-Z motorcycles following the arrest of a man in Kampung Padang Luas, Jertih, Besut on Saturday.
According to Terengganu police chief Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairudin, the smuggling operation was uncovered during an inspection of a house that had been converted into a workshop.
He stated that the seizure was carried out by the Terengganu Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) following a police report made previously.
“Inspecting the workshop, which was also observed by the suspect, uncovered 11 Yamaha RX-Z motorcycles, four chassis, and six engine components of unspecified motorcycle types.
“We believe that all these items were brought in from Thailand without valid documentation,” he said.
He added that the 41-year-old suspect, who hails from Jertih and claimed to be the owner of the house, was arrested on the same day.
“The suspect has three previous criminal records under Section 365 of the Penal Code, Section 29 (1) of the Minor Offences Act, and Section 61 (1) of the Special Prevention Measures Act (LLPK).
“Investigations revealed that the suspect admitted to being involved in the case under investigation, while a urine screening test conducted on him returned negative results,” he said.
In September last year, I had the opportunity to drive the twin model of the Proton eMAS 7, the Geely Galaxy E5.
Rather than putting the Galaxy E5 through its paces at the Proton Centre of Excellence (COE) test track, we hit the roads around Puncak Alam for a more authentic experience.
As I observed, the suspension system of the Galaxy E5 is not particularly suited to the road conditions we face here. It is a tad too soft and tends to bounce and sway on undulating surfaces.
While this kind of setup may cater to customers in China, Proton needs to draw upon its expertise to ensure that the eMAS 7 is equipped to handle the more challenging roads of Malaysia.
Which is why I was quite excited when invited to test drive the eMAS 7 from Shah Alam to Melaka. I was eager not only to experience Proton’s magic firsthand but also because this was my first time getting up close with the nation’s very first EV.
Exterior Design
Many are already aware that the exterior appearance of the eMAS 7 does not differ significantly from that of the Galaxy E5. Both models feature the same headlight and taillight designs, L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), and identical bumpers.
Of course, the front bumper of the Proton showcases the Proton eMAS logo, which is slightly different from the traditional Proton logo. Meanwhile, the ‘PROTON’ lettering beneath the rear lights and the ‘eMAS 7’ badge on the tailgate solidify the identity of this EV at the back.
I have no complaints about this, as the eMAS 7 certainly looks sharp and robust in the metal. Its sleek headlights and wide taillights give it an air of sophistication that belies its price.
Interior Space
It comes as no surprise that the interior layout of the eMAS 7 closely resembles that of the Galaxy E5. However, Proton has opted for a darker colour scheme in the eMAS 7 instead of the lighter white found in its twin.
While light colours can create a sense of spaciousness, the darker tones lend the eMAS 7 a more sophisticated feel. This choice is also more popular among Malaysian buyers simply because it is easier to maintain.
In terms of material quality, there are no substantial differences. The leather upholstery that covers much of the dashboard, seats, and steering wheel is delightfully soft to the touch.
However, I was somewhat disappointed to find that the footrest for the front passenger seat has been omitted, likely for cost-saving reasons.
Features
Despite this, the eMAS 7 boasts all the features offered in the Galaxy E5. This includes a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch driver’s instrument panel, and a Wanos audio system with 16 speakers from Flyme Sound.
These include those integrated into the driver’s headrest, which serves to channel navigation instructions directly to the driver’s ears.
Unfortunately, the systems for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still not available, though an update is expected this year via an over-the-air (OTA) release.
This is not too much of a concern, as the built-in navigation system of the eMAS 7 is user-friendly, despite the map’s appearance being in need of some refinement.
What I find most interesting about this system is its ability to locate nearby charging stations.
According to Proton, the system can identify over 1,700 charging points nationwide, thanks to partnerships with various charging point operators such as Gentari, JomCharge, chargEV, DC Handal, Carput Zap, and ChargeSini.
The system provides detailed information about the selected charging stations, including the operator, type, number, capacity and availability of chargers, rates, and much more.
Performance
Both the Prime and Premium variants of the eMAS 7 feature a single electric motor on the front axle, generating 218 PS (160 kW) and 320 Nm of torque.
The key difference between these variants lies in battery capacity: 49.52 kWh for the Prime and 60.22 kWh for the Premium. The Prime offers a WLTP driving range of 375 km, while the Premium extends this by an additional 65 km.
Driving from Shah Alam to Melaka, I had no worries about the vehicle’s range, as the distance is about 160 km, which is less than half the capacity offered by the Premium variant.
To assess the efficiency of this ‘12-in-1’ powertrain, I drove leisurely at speeds of around 90 to 100 km/h. Upon arriving at my destination, the energy consumption indicated a figure of around 10 to 11 kWh per 100 km, meaning I had used less than 30% of the battery’s energy for this journey.
Handling
Proton’s engagement in the eMAS 7/Galaxy E5 project is evident in the real-world performance of the eMAS 7’s suspension system.
The differences between the two models are notably pronounced, with the eMAS 7 demonstrating superior ride quality and handling characteristics.
The retuned dampers provide greater stability and tranquility at high speeds, while still managing to maintain comfort at lower speeds.
The steering feel is commendable for an EV, and the NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) levels are impressive, with exterior noise being effectively muted. Road noise is minimal, even though this variant is fitted with 19-inch rims.
Conclusion
Personally, I find the eMAS 7 quite intriguing. Priced between RM109,800 and RM129,800, it offers excellent value for those keen to explore the world of EVs.
While the relatively short driving range may be a concern for frequent long-distance travellers, for those who do not regularly embark on such journeys, the eMAS 7 is definitely worth considering.
The MG4 XPower was launched in Malaysia nearly ago as the most affordable vehicle capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.
Say what you want about EVs, but there’s no denying that said performance is absolutely remarkable—years ago, achieving such speeds was the realm of sports cars and supercars costing hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of ringgit.
Now, thanks to technological advancements in EVs, you can experience the same thrilling sensation for just under RM160,000.
Of course, there are a few other EV models that can reach 100 km/h a touch faster, like the Volvo EX30 Ultra Twin Performance (3.6 seconds) and the Smart #3 Brabus (3.7 seconds), but both of these come with a price tag exceeding RM200,000.
But does the MG4 XPower’s advantage lie solely in its speed? What about other aspects such as design, comfort, range, and technology? Read on to find out.
Design
The MG4 is a five-door hatchback with somewhat unique proportions. To the eye, it appears fairly large, yet it is actually 3 mm shorter than the cutesy BYD Dolphin. Comparatively, it is 17 mm longer than the Smart #1, but its wheelbase is 45 mm shorter.
What stands out, however, is that the MG4 is noticeably lower and wider than both models, giving it a more aggressive stance and an aerodynamic edge.
Its sporty appearance is complemented by its very sharp front-end design, a double roof spoiler, and striking orange brake caliper covers emblazoned with ‘XPower.’
It’s a bit odd, though, that apart from the brake calipers, there’s no other part of the car adorned with the XPower logo. Were this vehicle crafted by BMW or Mercedes-Benz, you’d no doubt find M and AMG badges scattered across the bodywork.
Interior
Unlike its exterior, the cabin design of the MG4 offers a more understated aesthetic. Those hoping for a modern, futuristic design might find themselves a bit disappointed, as nothing particularly cutting-edge stands out.
However, this isn’t necessarily a downside. A simple layout is easier to the eyes and can actually facilitate the transition from ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles to EVs.
What’s available is just what you need for everyday driving – a touchscreen complemented by a row of physical buttons beneath it, a floating centre console housing the gear knob and a wireless charger, steering wheel controls on either side, and a digital instrument panel.
Much like other EVs on the market, most features are accessed via the touchscreen. However, fear not—the MG4’s steering wheel comes equipped with star (shortcut) buttons, which can be configured for various functions such as climate control, energy recuperation, and driving modes.
One aspect that I found less appealing was the overly generous use of hard plastic for the dashboard and door panels. Not only that, but the gear knob also feels somewhat loose but I’d take this over having to select gears via the touchscreen any day.
Practicality and comfort
Hatchbacks generally offer limited cabin space, but with the MG4, you needn’t fret if you’re carting around extra passengers, as the interior feels rather spacious for its size.
It boasts ample storage in the centre console and each door, and the boot holds a decent capacity of 363 litres, which can expand further with the rear seats folded flat if the boot isn’t quite large enough.
Speaking of the back seats, I found them quite comfortable and not overly upright. Legroom and headroom are adequate for those of average build, though it would have been nice if MG had considered air vents for rear passengers.
Performance
As mentioned, the MG4 excels in acceleration. This is a welcome trait if you find yourself challenged by the car next to you at traffic lights, but to be honest, such ‘mad’ performance can become a bit exhausting.
This is because the car accelerates effortlessly, without the drama typically experienced in ICE vehicles. While this isn’t an issue on the motorway, in urban environments, the body movement due to inertia when accelerating (and braking) can leave you feeling worn out after some time.
To overcome this, I found using the ECO mode offered a more controlled acceleration.
In terms of range, the XPower variant isn’t the best choice if driving range is your top priority. It comes equipped with a 64 kWh battery that delivers a WLTP range of 385 km on a full charge.
While this is reasonable for city driving, it’s essential to remember that range can also depend on driving style and other factors. If your right foot tends to be heavy, that number will plummet significantly.
For peace of mind, you might opt for the Lux Extended Range variant, which sports a larger 77 kWh battery, promising a range of up to 520 km. That should be enough for four to five days, depending on your usage.
Conclusion
In summary, the MG4 XPower offers incredible value for money for EV enthusiasts craving performance without breaking the bank.
However, personally, I see the Lux Extended Range variant as a more rounded choice overall. It is RM10,000 cheaper, and with a century sprint of 6.1 seconds, it’s still plenty quick for most drivers out there. Moreover, with a larger battery, range anxiety won’t be something to lose sleep over.
It appears that more manufacturers are recognising that an all-EV approach may not be the best long-term strategy.
Recently, Alfa Romeo has reportedly made a U-turn regarding its intention to sell only EVs by 2027.
The Italian manufacturer joins brands such as Audi, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo in backpedaling its EV-only plans, following a decline in demand and tight competition from Chinese brands.
Speaking to Automotive News, Alfa Romeo’s North America chief Chris Feuell, acknowledged that it is challenging for Alfa Romeo’s 110-strong dealer network in the United States to survive with a portfolio consisting solely of battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
As an alternative, Alfa Romeo will adopt a recently finalised “multi-power” strategy. This strategy includes a combination of petrol, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
“The biggest thing in our product and technology roadmap is transitioning from what was a BEV-only strategy for Alfa to one that us multi-energy,” Feuell said.
Back in mid-2022, BMW M unveiled the M3 Touring, making it the brand’s first-ever wagon variant of the M3. This was followed by the introduction of the most hardcore variant in its line-up: the M3 CS sedan.
Now, the division has taken the covers off the new M3 CS Touring, which is essentially a fusion of both models.
In other words, the latest weapon from the Munich-based outfit offers the thrilling high performance of the M3 CS sedan (and M4 CS) in a more practical form.
This means that, like the two aforementioned models, the M3 CS Touring is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine, which has been tuned to deliver a whopping 550 PS at 6,250 rpm and 650 Nm of torque from 2,750 rpm to 5,950 rpm.
When compared to the facelifted version of the M3 Touring (Life Cycle Impulse or LCI in BMW lingo), the wagon is blessed with an additional 20 PS of power.
The combination of an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel drive enables the 1,850 kg car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in just 11.7 seconds.
Its top speed is electronically limited to 300 km/h, thanks to the standard M Driver’s Package.
Speaking of weight, BMW says it managed to shed around 15 kg by using components made from carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP), including the bonnet, splitter, air intakes, side mirrors, diffuser, bucket seats, and steering wheel.
Despite sharing the same body type as the M3 Touring, the CS variant stands out with a more aggressive body kit, yellow daytime running lights, red accents on the grille and spoiler, and lightweight double-spoke alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.
The colour palette for this one is limited to four options, namely British Racing Green, Laguna Seca Blue, Sapphire Black, and Frozen Solid White. Regardless of the chosen hue, the roof and spoiler are finished in striking gloss black.
Inside, in addition to the aforementioned bucket seats, the interior is distinguished by a flat-bottom steering wheel featuring a red 12 o’clock marker and a ‘CS’ logo on the centre console.
BMW has not disclosed the production numbers for the M3 CS Touring, but like the sedan variant, it is expected to be limited to fewer than 2,000 units.
